When Mendis made up his fifth hundred of his career in the fourth over of the morning..He didnt celebrate his century much because he knew that there is plenty work left to do..But a good bowl from Shannon Gabriel got him out and also he was the quickest bowler for Windies in the game.
Then, Chandimal came to the crease having retired ill the previous day with symtoms of a heat stroke,he was supported by nightwatchman Lahiru Gamage as they played together for next eight overs without any damage..But soon fifth wicket of Srilanka goes down when Bishoo trapped Gamage for the leg before wicket..Then Dickwella came to the crease and batted for sometime.

It was a outstanding performance from the Windies team..Dowrich scored a well made unbeaten century for the Windies side in the first innings of the match,he got supported by Roach and Bishoo..They helped Windies to finish a total of 414 in the first innings having been reduced to 147 for 5 at a one stage of the match..Windies pacers came and bowled exceptionally well and restrict the Srilanka side for 185..Enforcing the follow on,Windies managed to set a mammotj target of 453 for Srilanka thanks to the well knock of Kieran Powell’s 88 runs..Bishoo and Chase together took 7 wickets of Srilanka’s 10 wickets in the final innings.
For the visitors,Srilanka did not play well enough to secure a win against the hosts Windies. Mendis’s batting was the best example for the rest of the Sri lanka batsman. Lahiru Kumara’s energetic bowling clocking to 140 kmh almost every-time,but in the end Windies won the match by 226 runs.
