South Africa’s spreadhead fastbowler Dale Steyn has been picked up for Srilanka tests..Squad has been announced on Monday (11th June)..Steyn last played for South Africa way back earlier this year in the first test match which was against India at Newlands,he was unable to play the complete test match because he was suffered a injury in second innings.
At that time when he was injured specialists suggested him to take rest atleast for six weeks only then he can make a comeback for South Africa..He will be going turns to 35 later this month..Steyn played for Hampshire last week but he conceded 80 runs for 1 wicket in one day competition which was against Somerset..He bowled 26 overs for the Hampshire side in the first innings which was going on against Surrey at the Rose Bowl.
It is a very welcome news to have Dale Steyn back in our squad as he is a world class bowler..The retirement of fast bowler Morne Morkel..Rabada had also recovered from the injury and fit to play as he had suffered a injury blow against the Australia series.
